Kids Ministry

What Does It Involve: Engaging children and leading an individual classroom using a provided lesson. Teachers should prepare ahead of time by spending time in prayer and reading through the curriculum.
Expectations: Kids Church teachers serve once a month. On their serving Sunday, Kids Church teachers are expected to arrive at church by 9:30am to participate in a time of Pre-Service Prayer.
All Kids Ministry volunteers are required to complete safety screening and a Child Abuse Registry Check.

What Does It Involve: Investing in a group of kids, supporting and following the guidance of the classroom teacher, and creating a safe space for conversation and play. Helpers help to facilitate relationships in the classroom and can take on more of a one-on-one support role as needed.
Expectations: Kids Church Helpers serve once a month. On their serving Sunday, Kids Church Helpers are expected to arrive at church by 9:30am to participate in a time of Pre-Service Prayer.
All Kids Ministry volunteers are required to complete safety screening and a Child Abuse Registry Check.

What Does It Involve: Being a friendly face for new and returning families as they arrive each Sunday. Facilitating the Check In Station involves helping new families to sign in, explaining what to expect at Kids Church, and greeting regular families as they arrive. The Check In volunteer should have a basic understanding of iPad and printer usage.
Expectations: Those serving in the Check In role will serve once a month. On their serving Sunday, they should to arrive at church by 9:15am to ensure the Check In Station is up and running and to participate in a time of Pre-Service Prayer at 9:30am.
All Kids Ministry volunteers are required to complete safety screening and a Child Abuse Registry Check.

What Does It Involve: Prayer & Worship night volunteers come to play with and comfort little ones and supervise older children. During the evening children participate in gym free time, a story time, group discussions and activity time, as well as some games and a snack. Volunteers for the evening help to play with and comfort younger children, supervise older children, and create opportunities for conversation and connection throughout the evening.
Expectations: Those serving at a Prayer & Worship Night should arrive by 6:30pm, ready to engage kids and support families as they arrive. Throughout the evening, volunteers should be engaged and seeking opportunities to connect with the kids. At the end of the evening volunteers should help to tidy up spaces and be an encouragement for families as they pack up for home.

What Does It Involve: Setting up chairs, toys, and the TV for the Kids Corner in the gym before the Sunday morning Gathering begins and putting it away at the end of the sermon at the beginning of Fellowship time.
Expectations: Those in charge of the Kids Corner are asked to commit to serving once a month. You should arrive with enough time to have the corner set up and ready to go by 9:30am and are encouraged to join in Pre-Service prayer. Following the sermon, the area should be put away in a timely and organized manner.
